Tips for dealing with your health insurance

Dealing with insurance coverage for individuals with autism has become an increased challenge lately for just about all families affected by Autism. Unfortunately, different states have different mandates as far as coverage for autism goes. Only a few states have any type of insurance mandate for autism services at all.

However, many autism advocates are fighting to get the states to put mandates in place for the insurance companies. It is an absolute shame that so many families cannot get any services covered for the child simply because their child has a diagnosis of “autism.”
